Office Policies

We are delighted to have you as a patient in our practice. Here are some guidelines we use in scheduling appointments to keep patient treatment on schedule.

Appointment Scheduling

All appointments longer than 30 minutes are scheduled in the morning. After the braces are placed, the monthly adjustment appointments, which are 10-20 minutes long, are scheduled in the afternoon. Occasionally, there will be times during treatment when wires need to be changed, and these appointments are done during the morning. This way, we have the ability and flexibility to address additional issues if needed. 

Alternating appointment times between morning and early afternoon will help students avoid missing too much of any one class.

We also have excuse slips available to any student who needs them for confirmation of appointment.

Please understand that we cannot honor all requests for afternoon appointments. At this time, patients entering this practice must understand that it is absolutely impossible to avoid missing school and that we make an effort to minimize patients' time away from school.

Late Arrivals

We appreciate your effort to be on time for every appointment; therefore, we are determined to do our best to be on time as well. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we will have to evaluate our schedule for that day before we can commit to seeing you. In some cases, you will have to be rescheduled to another day. Please call our office if you are going to be late or unable to keep the appointment so that we can reschedule you over the phone.

Repairs to Appliances

Please call our office immediately if an appliance is loose or broken. We set aside times to treat repairs. If, for some reason, our repair appointments are filled, we may find it necessary to get you in right away to alleviate the discomfort and then make a separate appointment for the actual repair.
